Twenty six countries have confirmed their participation in the 2012 Barclays Kenya Open Golf Championship scheduled for March 28 to April 1 at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi.

It is a spectacular event which has its supporters even outside Kenya and has attracted top European golfers like Ryder Cup stars Ian Woosnam, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo and José Maria Canizares.

Countries participating include South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.

About 100 players from the European Tour, 50 from within Africa - amongst who will be 19 local professionals and 6 amateurs - are being expected by organizers.
